The Goal Girl Special Needs Initiative is a program dedicated to empowering young girls with special needs by providing them with educational training. With a focus on inclusivity, this project aims to equip these girls with the necessary skills to participate fully in society and become self-sufficient.

To provide comprehensive skills training, create a safe and supportive environment for girls all over the world to develop their full potentials and encourage inclusion and equality.

Young girls with special needs, aged 2-18, from underprivileged backgrounds.

Goal Girl: Empowering Young Girls with Special Needs Through Education
Goal Girl is a part of the Bold Solutions Group (BSG). BSG is a mother company for 4 subsidiaries International Business Market (IBM), Africa Development Conference (ADC), and Boardroom. Over the years, BSG has engaged in the development of girl child and people with special needs. Information about the business is available at https://boldsolutionsgroup.org/
The project seeks partnership and financial support from UNDP to establish a specialized facility and program for training and personal development. With your support, Goal Girl can enhance the lives of marginalized young girls, contributing toward achieving UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) such as gender equality, quality education, and reduced inequalities.

Children With Special Needs In Ghana
In Ghana:
•1 in every 5 children aged six to 24 years with a disability has never attended school (UNICEF Ghana)
•Those in school are often stigmatized and do not receive differentiated teaching.
•In a research conducted in Accra, the major conditions identified were cerebral palsy, seizure disorder, speech delay, ADHD and Autism.
•In the Greater Accra region, 13% of young children are identified with functional disabilities. (Statista)
•Females are more likely than males to have a disability, i.e. 8.8% vs 6.5% (Ghana Statistical Service)
•Despite Ghana’s ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) in 2012, discrimination and inequality persist for PWDs.
•Some factors that contribute to this include low skill levels, lack of formal education, negative societal perceptions, stereotyping, and discrimination (UNPRPD)
